BIOGRAPHY:
I was born on July 2, 1972 in the city of
My father died when I was 7 years old, it was something traumatic for all of us who were growing, he was the manager of a very important textile company in my city during this time, he was a perfect sportsman, he practiced several sports, cycling, boxing, ping pong, and others sports. At his death my mother had the double task of being father and mother simultaneously which she has done with excellence; I have all my life to be grateful to her, I love her deeply. In her youth my mother was a ballerina, and a physical education teacher, she was very athletic and very active; presently she devotes herself to her home.
Since I was small I started inclining for arts and for body movement. I made sculptures in modeling clay and clay, I was quite active. During my childhood I suffered asthma, I could not do very much exercise because I had asthma attacks, but I never used bronchial dilators because the doctors said it would disappear as I would grow. I gave my mother and my family a hard time with this because they had to frequently leave with me to the doctor’s even at late hours of the night; but as I grew the problem disappeared.
I began to practice gymnastics and I was interested in the development of the body. In my school years I registered in all kinds of athletic competitions, but without much importance. At age 14, my interest in body building and development of strength began; this is how I joined the weight training league (power lifting) of the State of
Then I began getting interested in studying and in the education of sports and gymnastics in general.
At age 23, I married a beautiful English teacher, whom I love very much. At the age of 24 I joined the
From my parents I inherited the interest for sports and the physical exercise in general, specially from my mother, who being pregnant took me to her physical education and dances classes. From my bodybuilding brother I got the interest for the practice of this sport, he was the one who initiated me in the education of this technique working with weights.
After being few years in the bodybuilding field, I practiced aerobics in all its modalities, to which I was an instructor; later something new came along, I wanted to go beyond and learn more on the body and other spheres of human development, it was when I started practicing Thai – chi, and later yoga, two modalities that taught me to be more flexible, to better breathe and to have a better easiness in movement, with a greater control and conscience.
Then I got interested in Pilates known in the beginnings as “control” (The art of controlling the body with the mind), this beautiful technique has contributed to me very much, managing to correct my posture and give greater attention to my core; presently I am a certified teacher in the Pilates method. I have had the opportunity to transmit this knowledge at the
There are two very important things in my life, love which must be above everything, and family, which is for me is something vital, and, something else, respect for those who surround us.
I am a spiritual person, a lover of life; to respect life is the most important thing that each one of us must have present in our evolutionary process. Every moment of our lives is an opportunity for us to learn and to excel ourselves, to live longer is happiness; I do not consider age as a load, but as an opportunity to learn and to excel ourselves, and having the possibility of helping others; some worry too much for their birthdays, and they feel some fear, I respect this but my mentality is as Deepak Chopra says, a body without age and a mind without time (endless body, timeless mind). A mind opened for change and a positive attitude 100 per cent without fear.
Everything done must be conceived by love, with your feet on the ground here and now.
